Fall Ball! :D

Here it is... The new event we've been waiting for to revive this forum! The FALL BALL! No, it's not masquerade or anything. So people can see your face this time. Not that there is a restriction on wearing masks, it's just that people will look at you funny.

So, after this message ends, the Fall Ball event has officially started~ Enjooooy~

Sir Ryan walked in dressed with a Black dress coat, a white dress shirt underneath, a red tie, black pants, and shined black dress shoes.

"Finally another ball to go to."

Sir Ryan playfully smiled and decided to walk around and talk with some of his friends. For the first time in a long time, he carried no weapons or poisons, and he was very happy.

A lone figure walked into the ball and observed her surroundings, like she had been there before. Taking a few steps in, her brown eyes looked around, as if to spot someone she knew. This figure, dressed in clothes not meant for the kingdom's region, looked out of place at a "fall ball", seeing that she was dressed in clothing meant for colder climates. The figure notoriously clutched her longsword, as if it was to protect her from the unknown. But, of course, this figure could handle it. This figure was no other than Frozen Sparrow.

The famous bandit, Frozen Sparrow, had left the kingdom of Corpavale for reasons unknown. One could be that she was sick and tired of the lowly bandits that had overrun the nearby Bandit Camp. Another could be that her accomplice and ex-lover, Burning Tiger had left her to join the so-called "good side", taking her enemies' point of view. But then again, Sparrow knew what and why he had done it. And what he would be in for if he ever came crawling back to her. But no, the real reason for the bandit's disappearance was because: she was weak. She had left to the snow mountains of a faraway region, to test her skills in combat. She sat through heavy blizzards and fought fearsome creatures, to prove to herself that she wasn't weak. As a result, she became faster, gained new skills and developed a higher sense of maturity. Oh, and her hair color changed. To brown.

Sighing, she walked in farther to find out that almost nobody was present. But one person. Wanting to find out who it was, Sparrow stepped closer to the person and tapped him on the shoulder. Then she said in a cautious voice, "Sir Ryan?"

Sir Ryan looked around and saw a girl.
"Do I know you? You look familiar.."
Sir Ryan stared for a few minutes more then decided to go and sit down at a bench.

Frozen Sparrow was a bit taken aback as the boy asked her who she was. Was I really gone THAT long?, she though to herself as she walked over to him, sat down and started to explain. "Ryan, I'm not sure if you remember me, but I'm Frozen Sparrow?" Perhaps hearing that name would trigger a few memories, she thought.

"Sparrow...I was wondering when you would come back..you've changed I see."
Sir Ryan stared at the ground and thought about what has happened.
"Many things have changed in this place..."
Instinctively he put his arm to his chest, near his heart. He looked at Sparrow.
"Glad you are back I guess..."
He then looks into the distant sun, eyes tearing a little.

Sparrow tried to put together his words, to see what they meant. "What kinds of things have changed?!" She asked, nearly insane wanting to find out what she had missed.

"We had a small war, lost many good soldiers...I nearly lost my life many times..."
He instinctively put his hand up to his chest again. On the other side of his face, hidden by shadow, was a scar.
"Ah this be a fun time...we should go have some fun while it lasts. Would you care for a dance?"
Sir Ryan stood up and held his hand out to Sparrow.

A cluster of blue and white orbs suddenly appear in front of the entrance and descend from the ceiling to reconstitute into a figure adorned with gold robes and a white cape. He approached to the balcony staring out into the horizon.

The bandit sighed as she tried to imagine what the war was like. She had heard of it while away, but never knew that it was this kingdom that was involved. She always thought it was some other punt village that deserved to pillaged or something along the lines of that. How long have I been gone..? She asked herself again, begging the gods for an answer. She pondered Ryan's scar for a second, but didn't think too much of it. It was just another scar, she thought, And he probably has been through alot. As she heard Sir Ryan's offer, Sparrow thought about it for a moment. While it lasts.. what will happen now? Thoughts of her ex-accomplice and lover, Burning Tiger, came rushing back, but she shook those thoughts out of her head and looked back up to her friend. Sparrow was about to take his hand when she noticed a figure appear on the balcony. She tried to look closer, but couldn't make out a face. "Is that," The bandit started to say. "Who is that?!" She stood up frantically and begin to wonder. Was this another one of my enemies, or a friend?

Seeing the person on the balcony, Sir Ryan smiles.
"Ah that, that is my old comrade, Capt Le, or as he goes by now, Whitelighter Francis."
Sir Ryan laughs, it is a deep laugh full of mirth.
"Oy! Le!! I was wondering when you would get here!"
Sir Ryan waves at Francis.

Sparrow looked up to him and nodded, as if to acknowledge his presence. Captain Le.. that name seems awfully familiar.. could he be? She pondered. Perhaps she had meet him in the kingdom on one of her commutes, or perhaps he was against her during the kidnap of Lady Tia.. Shaking those thoughts away, Sparrow nervously put for hand up and waved, slightly. Perhaps he wouldn't notice or remember her, if she had been an enemy. "Whitelighter?" She asked, wondering what that meant.

A girl with long blue hair walked into the palace. She wore a dark brown dress with gold print flowers that went a bit past her knees. Her presence in the upper levels of the Kingdom of Corpavale for the past few weeks had diminished quite a bit, for she had been working on many various jobs in the Underground with Tobe and the Silver Rogue. Lady Tia's skin seemed to have paled a bit over the time she spent in the Underground.

Now that she was walking in the light, if one looked hard enough, that person could tell that Lady Tia's walking posture wasn't perfect as it had been. In fact, through her swift and careful steps and movements, one would notice a slight limp in Lady Tia's walking. Her face, despite a slight frown, looked like her actual age tonight; a girl only a couple of years in her teens. The girl's hazel eyes seemed faraway, lost in thought.

She snapped out of her reverie, and stopped walking. Sending a wave over to Whitelighter Francis, she turned to two people that she had almost walked into.

"Oh... Heh, I guess should pay attention to where I'm walking, shouldn't I? How have you been Sir Ryan?" Lady Tia's eyes were clouding in and out. "Do you mind introducing me to your... companion?" Her eyes went fully clouded this time.

Tara walked into the palace wearing a dress that was similar to her sister, Lady Tia, except that her dress was black. Her long blue hair was pulled back into a ponytail.

She spotted her sister, and walked over to her and the people she was standing next to.
"Hello Sir Ryan! Ah... who is that next to you...??? Hmmm... I'm getting a deja vu feeling here. Anywaaay, SISTER! You look so pale! I couldn't contact you wherever you were. Do you know how worried I've been? Why are you so quiet? You're usually bouncing about with that endless amount of energy of yours. But of course, I knew you'd make it back okay. You always do!" Tara took a deep breath and let it out. Her cheeks were flushed from talking too much.

Inu walked through the door, looking around shyly for a moment and sighing in relief as she saw everyone else. 'Hello.' she said quietly as she waved to everyone from the door, she laughed nervously and straightened out her white dress as she walked over to the others.

Seeing Tia, a worried look passed Sir Ryan's face, but only for a moment.
"Ah..Miss...Tia and Tara. This, believe it or not, is Frozen Sparrow. Our...mutual friend."
Sir Ryan gave a glance at Sparrow and decided to walk to Inu.
"Hey Inu. Would you like a dance?"

Inu blushed slightly at seeing Sir Ryan pop up in front of her. 'U-uh.. Sure.' she said quietly, smiling warmly to Sir Ryan.

Sir Ryan smiled back and led Inu to the dance floor.
"So, ever dance before Inu?"
It had been awhile since Sir Ryan danced so he was nervous.

"Um not that I remember..' Inu said quietly, blushing more at her nervousness. 'Have you?' she asked, looking down at her feet so she wouldn't step on Sir Ryan on accident.

"Ah well..not in awhile, but it is enough."
Sir Ryan danced gracefully with Inu.
"You look stunning by the way."
Sir Ryan gives a warm smile.

'As do you, Sir Ryan.' Inu smiled, her blush somewhat fading from her cheeks.

A paler looking Silver Rogue walked to the section of the palace where the Fall Ball was being held. He wore a dark brown suit with a red tie. As he walked in, he immediately found Ladies Tia and Tara, and saw Inu and Sir Ryan on the dancefloor. He also saw another figure by Lady Tia. Great Mithros, is that... Frozen Sparrow? Pfft. The Silver Rogue strode over to the three girls with a huge grin on his face.

"Why hello ladies!" He nodded to Tara and Tia, sending a concerned expression to the latter, and gave another grin to Frozen Sparrow. "Well, well, well, look who it is! If it isn't the Frozen Sparrow herself. Hope you've enjoyed yourself these past few months."

The Silver Rogue turned to Lady Tia with a concerned expression. "You don't look so good. Your eyes keep clouding over. I told you it would be hard to adjust back to the Surface, after we've been in the Underground for that large of an amount of time-- Hey, when did you get that limp? That wasn't there bef-- Ohhhh, I think I know how that happened..." The Silver Rogue quieted down.

Whitelighter Francis turned his face at the sound of his name. Most of his face was covered by his golden hood but his mouth was visible enough to see. He walked over to Frozen Sparrow and extended his greetings. "Greetings milady I don't believe we have been properly introduced. I am Francis, both Founder and Head Librarian of the Corpavale Royal Library."

Lady Tia covered her mouth with her sleeve and had a coughing fit. "Eehhh... I'll probably be fine in a few days. Thanks for the concern, SilRo." She smiled at the Silver Rogue. ".. But there's another job in a couple of days.." Lady Tia frown deepened a little. The green in her hazel eyes flashed.

A shadow moved behind Lady Tia. It crept closer and the figure removed a cloak. Underneath the cloak, Tobe was revealed. His skin was just as pale as Lady Tia and Silver Rogue's. He reached inside his coat and brought out a scroll with a wax seal.

"Milady, I have received information about the newest job in the Underground from the Council. We leave tonight." Tobe handed the scroll to Lady Tia and nodded to the Silver Rogue.
