New Event coming soon!

Okay people! Sorry, but I'm gonna be closing the Masquerade Ball. If you look at the pic in my post in the event, you'll see when it closes.

Anyway, SO not the point of this topic/post. Point is, in a previous poll, the other top two choices for a new event other than a ball were:
-War
-Adventure

At the poll above, please vote for one of the two events, and that will decide the next event. I'll give until tomorrow morning, Saturday 6/20/09, before I post what the new event will be. If not enough people vote by tonight, I will give a few more days before posting.

Hey you guys, I have like something wrong with my comp, so if I'm not online by midnight, could someone put a post in the Masquerade event at 12:05am, saying that "this event is now closed. D:"..? If someone could do that for me if I'm not available by then, I'd rrreeeaaalllyyy appreciate it!

I vote war! XD It would be fun to go against... who was it? King Almare of.... Magrar...? YEAH!

But we need a central plot for the war, like a taken hostage, or a murder of a king, a battle for power, etc. Or we can scap all of that and go fight some demonic horde. For the horde, I suggest Zombies or Daemons. PLEASE GO ZOMBIES.

What like Left 4 Dead.

I vote for adventure. A war sounds like too much war. I'd be sad to read about people dying, especially the main characters (top posters).

Anyone have ideas for a plot?

How about this:
Intro:
[Flashback; LOTR-style]
Centuries ago, there was an ancient historical battle that once took place. An alliance of men and elves fight for the freedom of Corpavale against the dark and evil armies of Magus [or any other enemies you can think of]. In the midst of the Armies Of Light(AOL) there rose one hero, the first king of Corpavale INSERT NAME HERE, and his friend and champion, INSERT NAME HERE. Both armies clashed until the AOL reached the base of the mountain, INSERT HISTORICAL LANDMARK HERE. The dark lord, Magus saw to this and proceed outside the mountain gate with his full battle armor. Magus was confronted with the men and elves of the AOL and quickly killed the ones in front with his powerful dark magic. INSERT KING'S NAME rushed to the front lines to fight along side his men only to be struck and flung back with a dark lightning bolt. His best warrior and INSERT CHAMPION'S NAME quickly rushed to the dead King's side and weep. As Magus walked over toward the two with a lightning ball in hand, INSERT WARRIOR'S NAME grasps his King's sword and cut his hand off. The Champion cast a powerful light magic spell and pierce it through Magus' heart. A gust of air quickly seeps into his body and explodes releasing a powerful shockwave of air.

[Present Day, Corpavale Plaza]
The sun is shining brightly in the sky as everyone is preparing for the millennial festival celebrating a certain war. Everyone at home are fussing around on what costume they should wear to the festival while others are still sleeping in their beds...

[The intro was base on a Lord of the Rings style but was solely base on Chrono Trigger if anybody's familiar with the game. We'll start out at the present after the "..." point. What do you think everybody? Sorry if it's starting to sound like a war but the adventure starts out with a climatic intro and later a epic adventure.]

If we go with that plot, I want to be the Auron-like character. (FFX, just for info) I'd be the king's champion who was thrown through time by the shockwave 10 years before the present, and now is an older warrior who joins the main group. I have a backstory I once made up for my english class last year and it would work for this, with a few tweaks here and there.

I think we should do one of the previous ideas that Malchiore put up before in one of the other topics. We could start off with the story being at the point that King Almare of Magrar took over Corpavale, and now everyone that is on our side is the rebellion group, just planning and waiting to take our kingdom back. But, we give the people in charge that took over the kingdom a bit of trouble in the towns and such.
